Vuze Copyright Policies

Vuze respects the rights of copyright holders and publishers and requires all users to confirm they own the copyright or have permission from the copyright holder to upload content. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and expeditiously remove content when properly notified, unless it reasonably appears to us that the content does not infringe upon copyright. Please note, however, that under Section 512(f) any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is a copyright infringement may be subject to liability for damages. You should educate yourself as to whether a document does, in fact infringe upon your copyright, or whether, for instance "fair use" under 17 U.S.C. §107 applies. If you are not sure whether material available online infringes your copyright, we suggest that you first contact an attorney versed in copyright law. Don't make false claims!

Repeat infringers' content is removed and their accounts are restricted or terminated from accessing our service under appropriate circumstances.

Copyright Owners

If you are the exclusive copyright holder, or the authorized agent of an exclusive copyright holder, and you wish to report content on the Vuze site which you believe infringes your rights, please do so in accordance with our DMCA Compliance Procedures. Please do not report claimed infringement by other means, including our web forms, as it may delay consideration of or action on your report.  Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and expeditiously remove content when properly notified, unless it reasonably appears to us that the content does not infringe upon copyright. You should educate yourself as to whether content does, in fact infringe upon your copyright, or whether, for instance there is a "fair use" under the United States Copyright Act, or otherwise. If you are not sure whether material available online infringes your copyright, we suggest that you first contact an attorney well versed in copyright law. Don't make false claims!
